Will the Congress leaders attend this 'party' meet?

Update: 2021-02-16 04:54 GMT
To go or not to go – that is the question for the Telangana Congress leaders. On Tuesday, Congress working president Revanth Reddy's yatra is coming to an end. A massive public meeting has been organized at Raviryala village in Rangareddy district to mark the occasion. But, whether to attend the meeting or not is the biggest dilemma before the Congress leaders.

Senior Congress leaders met at Hyderabad on Monday to discuss the issue. A strong section of the party felt that Revanth is not taking the party along in his endeavours. They feel that he is trying to emerge as the icon of the party and has undertaken the yatra for his personal aggrandizement. Even PCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy is said to have adopted an ambivalent attitude to Revanth's yatra. Interestingly, Revanth's biggest backer and party affairs incharge Manickam Tagore too has become inactive these days. He has stopped taking active interest in the party affairs.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy is going ahead with his plans to hold a rally at Raviryala. He has appealed to all the Congress leaders in Telangana to attend the Raviryala meet. But if sources are to be believed, even the PCC chief might chose to skip the meeting.
