Work From Home Norms Extended Further In India

In a piece of good news for the IT industry employees, the government extended the deadline for work from home facility till December month-end, 2020. The government took this decision in the wake of the rapid growth of infections of the virus.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) took to micro-blogging site Twitter to confirm the extension of the work from home relations.

The government directed the IT companies in Indian to offer work from home for the employees in the month of April with the deadly outbreak of the virus. The deadline for WFH was pushed to July initially.

After extending the WFH facility to July, the DoT once again extended the deadline. This move gives a sigh of hope for many IT companies and employees in this tough situation.

As per the official information,  close to 85% of IT employees are currently working under WFH who will continue to do their jobs in the country in the prevailing situations.
