Apple Picks Indian-Origin Man For A Big Post!

Major tech giant Apple Inc announced its new Chief Financial Officer(CFO) who will take charge from the new year. An Indian-origin engineer who has been playing a vital role in financial strategies was selected for the big post. He worked in different departments at Apple.

Kevan Parekh became a big sensation at once after he was picked as the new CFO. Earlier he worked in the worldwide sales, retail, and marketing departments of the company. The tech giant is confident that his experience would come in handy in his new position.

Kevan Parekh’s appointment as the CFO is nothing short of any historic stint as he replaced Luca Maestri, who has been serving in the position since 2014. After a decade the management decided to replace him and the Indian Engineer was selected as his replacement.

What Apple did can be seen as a master move. Parekh has a vast knowledge in the finance department as he had a good stint with big firms like Thomson Reuters and General Motors. The Engineering Graduate later pursued an MBA from Chicago University before starting a career in Finance.

Tim Cook expressed his confidence in Parekh’s abilities and said that he is the right pick for the job. We have to see how the Indian-origin excels in the new role. As he has experience in various fields and is said to be reporting to Tim Cook directly it feels that Tim Cook has a lot of confidence in him.
