Australia's Big Move To Reduce Inflow Of International Students!
Migration is the best option for students to move to other nations to pursue higher studies and chase their dreams
Migration is the best option for students to move to other nations to pursue higher studies and chase their dreams. Since 2011 the trend has picked up massively and we are seeing students moving to other countries in massive numbers. There is a negative impact with such a level of migration.
It is common for the resources to get drained with the inflow of foreign students. It looks like Australia wants to address the issue and bring down the numbers as the visa fee was increased by almost twofold for international students.
Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil said that the visa fee is increased and the change in fee will apply from the 1st of July which is today. Earlier the visa fee for international students to move to Australia was $710 which was increased to a massive $1,600.
Talking about this, the Minister said the move increases the value of education and also restores the integrity of international education. The Minister dubbed this as an example of Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s government.
Not just this the Australian government also implements bringing down the Graduate Visas duration and shortening the age eligibility to get visas. On top of this, the government also focuses on looking into the loopholes used by people to extend their visa tenure.
Migration is getting bigger and bigger as far as the students are concerned. If we look at the United States, the numbers are only increasing with each passing year. Earlier Canada put some restrictions on international students as the housing sector and accommodation sector are facing a big burden.
The same is said to be the case with Australia. Reports are abuzz that the housing sector in Australia is hit hard and to address this and reduce the migration the decision was taken.
