Shining in national parties is not everyone’s cup of tea and only a few can manage to achieve this. Moreover, there is a popular opinion that the regional parties have no good track record as far as the national politics are concerned. Regional leaders who tried to enter the big arena failed.

Earlier TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came under one roof to fight against BJP. While TDP lost the 2019 elections and is struggling for existence, Mamata Banerjee faced a tough fight in the state.

Joining the list, the former Chief Minister of Telangana KCR also expressed his desire to enter national politics. For this, he changed the party name to Bharat Rashtra Samithi from the original Telangana Rashtra Samithi. He even met like-minded leaders in the other states.

However, the party suffered a big loss in the recent elections. Having lost the general elections, the party is now focused on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Now a piece of big news is doing rounds on media circles.

As per the media reports BRS is likely to TRS fold again. It is being said that senior leader Kadiyam Srihari proposed the idea of changing the name back to TRS. Saying that removing Telangana from the party name gave an impression that the party was not theirs and this might have cost a big time.

The senior leader also opined that after TRS became BRS there was no luck and a few leaders think the same, Kadiyam reportedly said. With this, a big debate is going on about whether the party will go for the name change soon.

TRs won two consecutive terms in the state. In the first elections after TRS became BRS, the party lost the elections. The difference between the vote percentage of BRS and Congress is just 2 percent and this made the difference. Now we have to wait and see what happens next.
