Chandrababu's Call Data Petition Adjourned!
CID's lawyer told the court that it is not possible to give the call data of officers as it is against the rules.
It is known that Chandrababu Naidu was arrested earlier last month by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the AP Skill Development scam. While the ruling party leaders are saying that the arrest happened following due procedure, the TDP leaders are saying that it is a vendetta.
After the arrest of the former Chief Minister, the TDP started focusing on the call data of the CID officers. A petition was also filed in the court to save the call history. The petition was heard today and was adjourned.
The ACB Court in Vijayawada heard the petition today and adjourned it to tomorrow. After hearing the arguments of both sides, the hearing is adjourned. The ACB lawyers objected to the directives sought by the Chandrababu Naidu’s lawyers.
CID's lawyer told the court that it is not possible to give the call data of officers as it is against the rules. Having said that, the counsel told the court there might be a threat to the safety of the officers if the call data is given.
After hearing the arguments of both sides, the Court adjourned the petition to tomorrow. Earlier, the petition was heard on the 20th of this month and was adjourned to the 26th which is today. Now the petition was adjourned for tomorrow.
Now all eyes are on the ACB Court to see what decision it will take on the petition. With the CID’s lawyer countering the claims there is a big suspense on what decision the court will take.
On the other hand, a house motion petition was filed in the High Court seeking bail for his eye surgery. The Court is likely to hear the petition tomorrow.
