An award function was held to name the best Whisky in the world. As a drink is picked as the best in the world, many might feel that the brand might be from any Western nation. But it is not true, Whisky made in India was crowned the best in the world.

At the World at the Whiskies of the World Awards, the Indian brand Indri was selected as the best. Despite facing tough competition from global brands, the Indian brand was picked as the best one in the world.

The Indri Diwali Collector's Edition 2023, which is a single malt is picked as the best Whisky in the world. Brands like scotch, bourbon, Canadian, Australian, and British single malts, and others gave big competition. Bit Indian company shined big.

"Indri Diwali Collector's Edition 2023, crowned as the 'Best Whisky in the World,' claims the prestigious 'Best in Show, Double Gold' Award at the @whiskiesoftheworld. A triumph that elevates our spirits and inspires us to craft excellence sip by sip," the company said on Instagram.

The winner of the award is selected based on the rating points during the tasting test. Aromatics, flavour, and finish are the parameters of the points. An Indian brand winning a prestigious award by beating other global brands is a big thing.

Talking about what makes the Indian brand so special, it is made in the Himalayan foothills. Handpicked barley from Rajasthan are picked and the glacier water from the Yamuna River goes into the manufacturing. Pedro Ximenez Sherry Casks are also used in making the special drink.

The award-winning drink is crafted by Piccadilly Distilleries. After the prestigious award, the company expressed its happiness and said that the hard work they have been putting in gave fruitful outcome with recognition at the global level.
