The kind of detrimental effects that are usually seen with war conditions are being observed in the case of the Middle East conflict as the United States is currently at war with Iran. Iran’s English language newspaper Tehran Times created global attention after publishing a dramatic front page message directed at former US President Donald Trump amid the escalating Iran conflict.

The headline on the front page read Trump, Look Them In The Eyes, accompanied by photographs of children reportedly killed in a missile strike on a school in the Iranian town of Minab. The newspaper filled its front page with portraits of the young victims, urging Trump to acknowledge the human cost of the ongoing military escalation. According to Iranian officials, the missile strike hit a girls’ elementary school located near a military compound in Minab on February 28, killing more than 150 people, most of them children.

The editorial accused Trump of spreading misleading claims about the incident and refusing to accept responsibility. It said his statements about the conflict included false claims and deflection of responsibility, while also criticizing the continued military pressure on Iran.

Trump, however, denied responsibility for the strike and claimed that Iran itself could be behind the attack due to the alleged inaccuracy of its weapons systems. The United States and Israel have not officially accepted responsibility for the strike, and the circumstances remain disputed.

The powerful front page is being seen as a propaganda move by Iran to highlight civilian casualties and influence international opinion during the intensifying conflict in West Asia. The Tehran Times, which is closely aligned with Iran’s political establishment, often reflects the government’s stance on global issues.
