The talk of the town in Sattenapalli of Guntur district is Nara Lokesh Babu's yatra, but for all the wrong reasons. Local strongman and former speaker Kodela Sivaprasad's son Kodela Sivaram has given the public meeting a miss. He and his band of supporters has abstained from what is being seen as Lokesh Babu's show of strength.

Sivaram is said to be mighty upset over the TDP boss's attempt to give the party ticket to former minister and new entrant Kanna Lakshmi Narayana. This means Sivaram would be denied the opportunity to contest from Sattenapalli. Sivaram, who nurtured the constituency all these days, is unhappy about this. As a result, he stayed away from the meeting.

In fact, Sivaram has been sulking ever since TDP chief showed clear preference towards Kanna Lakshminarayana. He, however, was present to welcome Lokesh into Sattenapalli. Lokesh held Sivaram's hand and Kanna's hand and walked some distance to show that 'all was well' in the TDP.

However, Sivaram soon left the venue and the whole business of crowd mobilization fell on Kanna alone. The absence of Sivaram was hard to miss and many in the crowd spoke about Sivaram's absence in hushed tones. It remains to be seen how Chandrababu will handle Sivaram and his sulk.
