What’s happening in the United States is very concerning to India as the Indian students are facing the heat of it
The ongoing Israel vs Gaza war started showing its impact outside the regions too. Protestors of both sides are hitting the roads to show their support. Even educational institutions are also not free from this. The United States has been seeing protests and a few arrests were also made.
What’s happening in the United States is very concerning to India as the Indian students are facing the heat of it. A few students were arrested and they were reportedly asked to not enter the campus. They went there for higher studies and were not able to visit the Campuses, saying their purpose was not served.
Amidst this, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is said to have responded and urged the students to follow the rules. Talking about the reports about the situation of Indians there, the Ministry said that students or parents did not seek their assistance.
The reports say that disciplinary action is being taken against students who take part in the protests on the campuses. In response to this, the Ministry said that no one contacted either the Embassy or any Consulate.
It has to be mentioned here that the US administration is keenly observing what is happening at the Universities. Students are also taken into custody if anyone is found crossing the line.
The United States and Israel have long-standing ties. This is the reason why the US administration is dealing with the pro-Palestian protests swiftly. It is said that the cops are stopping the protests.
At this time, the MEA is said to have advised the Indian students to follow the local rules. There is nothing wrong with what the Ministry said and the law of the land has a big importance and there is a need to respect it.
