Sankranthi and Pongal hold cultural significance for the South Indian community, and on this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Pongal in a traditional manner in New Delhi.

The official Instagram handle of Modi shared a video showcasing the prime minister adorned in traditional attire, enjoying the festive atmosphere and special programs arranged for the occasion.

Telangana Governor Tamilisai also participated in the celebrations. The caption of the video emphasized the promotion of the "Many cultures, One Bharat" slogan through such events. The post received over 2.1 million likes.
