Did PK Just Contradict AP Home Minister?
A police case was filed against him to this effect, and there were multiple Media reports that the police department had arrived in Hyderabad to arrest the senior journalist.
It is already known that Andhra Pradesh police had reportedly tried to reprimand professor Nageshwar Rao, who had recently made wild comments in live television show. He had commented that the deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan met Amit Shah recently and persuaded him into arresting Jagan.
A police case was filed against him to this effect, and there were multiple Media reports that the police department had arrived in Hyderabad to arrest the senior journalist.
However, this news was denounced by the Andhra Pradesh Police department and the Home Minister, Anita herself. She categorically stated that there is no truth in the Media speculations about the police department, going to Hyderabad to arrest Nageshwar Rao.
However, this very statement was quickly counted by deputy CM Pawan Kalyan himself as he said he was the one who stopped Andhra Police from arresting Nageshwar Rao.
During the interaction with JanaSena supporters, a few minutes back, Pawan Kalyan said he came to know that AP Police had arrived in Hyderabad to arrest Nageshwar Rao, and he requested them not to do the same.
The fact that the deputy chief minister has directly contradicted earlier comment from home Minister about AP Police, not arresting Nageswara Rao has became a topic of discussion. This is not a good coordinator effort from the authorities. It has to be seen how the public react to the same.
