Schools Receive Bomb Threats, Police Suspect Hoax Attempt
The concerned authorities swung into action and the bomb squads were deployed in the concerned schools and premises to check for the explosives.
The trend of issuing threats is sensing shocking waves in society. Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan and a popular singer were believed to have given a threat. Following this, the Mumbai Police reportedly alerted the star to be cautious and examined the security he was having.
Taking forward the trend, a few schools in Bengaluru were given bomb threats through emails leading to many tensions. The concerned authorities swung into action and the bomb squads were deployed in the concerned schools and premises to check for the explosives.
Over 40 schools in Bengaluru were given bomb threats via emails earlier today. The school managements informed the Police department and the bomb squad reached the schools and searched for the explosives.
Students in these schools were asked to go home and the parents were informed the same and were asked to take their children home as a safety measure. The bomb detection squads were also deployed at the spot for the search operation.
Confirming the news of the schools getting bomb threats, the Official Twitter handle of the Bengaluru Police Commissioner said a few schools received threats and expressed doubt of a hoax. However, the office said all the required measures are being taken.
There is a point in what the CP office said as schools receiving such hoax calls is not new in the city. We have seen such incidents a few times in the Bengaluru city. Last year as well the city received such a threat. But the issue took a big twist as a student sent the email.
It is said that the new case might have a similar path as nothing has been found so far be it the evidence or the explosives. However, nothing has been confirmed yet and the investigation is going on to get more details.
