Ground slipping from under BRS feet?

What is more shocking for the BRS boss KCR is that all the 24 corporators of the BRS could simply switch sides and join the Congress Party.

The BRS, which ruled Telangana till recently with all its ruthlessness, is today finding itself very vulnerable. Internal dissensions are coming to the fore on one hand and on the other, several of its key leaders are exiting the party in drones.

What is more worrisome for the party bigwigs is that all its famed capabilities to snoop around have come to a naught as the party has not been able to identify those who want to switch sides.

Remember, KCR had real-time knowledge of Eatala Rajender's moves and neutralized his rebellion. But once out of power, he did not know that his own MP was in New Delhi to join the Congress Party.

He now feels threatened by the fact that at least four to six sitting MPs are in touch with other parties, mainly the Congress Party and can leave the party anytime.

In fact, Venkatesh, the Peddapalli MP, who joined the Congress the other day, was seen to be quite active in the BRS programmes till the day before. Thus, he managed to hoodwink even KCR.

Sources say that at least one BRS MP from South Telangana, who has business interests in BJP-ruled states, is said to be in consultation with the BJP leaders, Two more MPs from north Telangana are said to be in consultations with the Congress Party.

What is more shocking for the BRS boss KCR is that all the 24 corporators of the BRS could simply switch sides and join the Congress Party. This means the BRS would virtually be left without any ground level leader.

Already five former Congress leaders, who are currently BRS MLAs, have already met Revanth Reddy and some more are likely to follow suit. This only means that the troubles are only mounting for KCR and his BRS.
