United States, president, Donald Trump is continuing on his own ways when it comes to imposing tariffs on global countries and he is not slowing down despite the order of the Supreme Court.

The United States Supreme Court dealt a major blow to former President Donald Trump by ruling that his sweeping global tariff order was illegal.

In its decision, the Court said Trump exceeded his authority by using emergency powers to impose broad import taxes without approval from Congress. The justices clarified that the power to regulate trade and impose tariffs rests primarily with Congress, not the president acting alone.

Trump had relied on the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to justify a 10 percent global tariff, claiming trade imbalances posed a national emergency. However, the Court ruled that the law does not grant unlimited authority to restructure international trade through blanket tariffs.

Despite the ruling, Trump quickly escalated tensions by announcing an increase in the global tariff rate from 10 percent to 15 percent. He argued that alternative legal provisions could justify the move and signaled he would continue pursuing aggressive trade measures.

One possible route involves the Trade Act of 1974, which allows certain targeted trade actions under specific conditions. It appears that Trump is saying “Thaggede Le” even to the Supreme Court.

The decision and Trump’s response have created uncertainty in global markets, raising concerns among businesses, trading partners, and investors about the future direction of US trade policy.
