Political Buzz: YCP MLCs Looking At TDP?
Leaders prefer to be with the ruling party and that is why we see leaders shifting their loyalties to the ruling sides from their parties
Leaders prefer to be with the ruling party and that is why we see leaders shifting their loyalties to the ruling sides from their parties. This happens in almost every state. Now it's the turn of Andhra Pradesh to see the trend as per the observers.
The political picture had changed in the state with the alliance coming to power. With this the YCP leaders are reportedly looking at the alliance parties. Earlier, the former AP BJP Chief said that they are not welcoming any MPs from YCP.
Now it is being reported that MLCs from YCP are looking at the TDP. Media reports say that a few MLCs met the Deputy Chairperson of the Legislative Council Mayana Jakiya Khanam and NMD Farooq.
This meeting caught everyone's attention and added fuel to the reports that the YCP MLCs are looking at the TDP. Besides them, few other MLCs are also said to be on the verge of taking the same path.
It would be a game changing moment for the TDP if the MLCs join the party from the YCP. The opposition party YCP has a good strength in the Council and it can stop the bills. This is a big concern to the alliance government.
In the last term YCP was strong in the Assembly and TDP was strong in the Council. The three capitals bill and others were not passed. At one point of time YCP wanted to abolish the house.
However it looks like the TDP might increase its strength in the house. YCP has 38 members while TDP and Janasena have nine and one member respectively.
