Government Permits Special Shows and Ticket Hikes for Akhanda 2

After days of uncertainty, there is finally good news for fans of Balakrishna. Akhanda 2 is going to hit screens on December 12. Meanwhile Akhanda 2 has officially received permission from the Andhra Pradesh government for special benefit shows and temporary ticket price increases. This decision comes just in time for the film’s much-awaited release.

The movie was first planned to hit theatres on December 5, 2025. However, the makers were forced to postpone the release at the last moment due to financial and legal issues. This sudden delay left fans disappointed. Now, with all problems sorted out, the film is all set for a grand release on December 12, 2025. Paid premieres will begin from the evening of December 11, bringing huge excitement among Nandamuri fans and Tollywood lovers.

As per the latest government order issued by the Home Department of Andhra Pradesh, theatres across the state are allowed to conduct one benefit show on December 11 from 8 PM to 10 PM. The ticket price for this special show is capped at Rs. 600 including GST. In addition, regular shows will also have increased ticket rates for 10 days starting from December 12. For single-screen theatres, the hike is Rs. 75 per ticket, while multiplexes can charge an extra Rs. 100 per ticket, including GST.

Once the revised government orders are officially issued, advance bookings will begin across Telugu states. Industry experts expect the opening weekend to be massive due to the high buzz and strong fan following.

The film is produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the banner of 14 Reels Plus. The cast includes Aadi Pinishetty, Samyukta, and Harshaali Malhotra in key roles. The music is composed by Thaman, whose background score is expected to be a major highlight.
