Varun Tej Recalls Balakrishna Fan Memories

Varun Tej is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Korean Kanakaraju (KOKA). The actor has been attending interviews and promotional events ahead of the film's worldwide release on August 7. During one of the interviews, Varun shared an interesting childhood memory that has now become a talking point among fans.

The anchor asked Varun whether there were fan wars between star heroes during his school days. The actor smiled and said that there were no serious fan fights among his friends. Instead, everyone simply enjoyed watching different stars' movies together.

Varun revealed that from his first standard, he was friends with Ritesh, the son of senior politician Daggubati Purandeswari and the nephew of actor Nandamuri Balakrishna. Because of this friendship, they often watched Balakrishna's films together.

Varun also said that whenever his uncle Pawan Kalyan's movies were released, he would take all his friends to the theatre. In the same way, Ritesh used to take the entire group to watch Balakrishna's films. According to Varun, this was a happy memory from their childhood, and there was never any competition or arguments between them over heroes.

Meanwhile, excitement is growing for Korean Kanakaraju. The film has created a strong buzz with its teaser, trailer, songs, and promotional events. Advance bookings have opened in both Telugu states, and premiere show tickets are reportedly selling quickly, especially in Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh.

The film has also received a positive response in overseas markets. Early reports suggest that the US premiere bookings have crossed the initial milestone, and trade experts expect the numbers to grow further before release.

Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the film features Varun Tej in a unique dual-style role, playing an Anantapur man with a Korean gangster look. The movie also promises comedy, action, horror, and entertainment, with music composed by Thaman.
