Young Tollywood sensation Varun Tej recently tied the knot with Lavanya Tripathi in an elegant ceremony in Tuscany, Italy. After returning to Hyderabad and hosting a grand reception, Varun Tej swiftly shifted gears from marital bliss to work mode.

His focus is now on his highly anticipated period action drama, 'Matka.' Varun has diligently prepared for the film, undergoing an extensive six-month workout regimen to achieve a more chiseled appearance for his role, promising audiences a unique portrayal.

'Matka' is set against the backdrop of Vizag between 1958 and 1985, spanning 24 years of gripping true events. This ambitious venture boasts nine action-packed sequences, a record for any Varun Tej-led film, managed by four accomplished stunt choreographers.

To authentically recreate the essence of Vizag's Old City, a colossal set is being constructed on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The production, spearheaded by Vyra Entertainments, plans to execute 'Matka' on a grand scale, promising a pan-India cinematic experience.

Adding to the film's allure are talented actresses Nora Fatehi and Meenakshi Chowdary, contributing their skills to this compelling narrative. Nora Fatehi, in particular, underwent extensive training to portray her character convincingly.

Despite the pause for personal celebrations, Varun Tej is now fully immersed in the preparations for 'Matka,' with the shooting scheduled to commence in December as confirmed by the production team. As the film spans various timelines, fans can anticipate witnessing Varun Tej's diverse looks throughout the movie, showcasing his versatility as an actor.

With the stage set for this monumental project, anticipation is high for Varun Tej's transformation and the riveting tale 'Matka' is poised to narrate on the big screen.
