As a shocking piece of news to one and all, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy left us earlier today, after suffering a heart attack. Following this, he was rushed to a nearby private hospital in Hyderabad. However, he breathed his last. Condolences messages are pouring in for the family.

As a bid to respect the leader, the Andhra Pradesh government announced that the IT Minister will be given the last goodbye with full state honors. His mortal remains reached Andhra Pradesh and the political leaders are expressing profound grief at his sudden demise.

From politicians to film stars, one and all mourning Mr. Reddy's sudden and shocking death. Actor-turned-politician, Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna reacted to the sad news and expressed his grief at the sad development.

In a press note released by him, Nandamuri Balakrishna maintained that he was shocked by the sudden demise of Minister of Industries and Industries Mekapati Goutham Reddy. Dubbing him as a young leader who studied abroad and goes easy with everyone, Balakrishna termed his demise painful.

Losing a new-era leader at an early age is painful. I pray for the peace of the soul and I extend my deep condolences to the family members of the deceased, the Nandamuri scion Balakrishna added in his note.

The shocking news happened during the early hours of Monday. After he complained of chest pain, his family members took him to the Jubilee Hills branch of the famous hospital chain Apollo Hospital.

Upon his admission into the hospital facility, a team of specialist doctors in various branches have attended Gautham Reddy and examined him. A few tests were performed and the required medical support was provided to him. The Apollo Hospital said that Gautham Reddy was not responding at his arrival.

"The minister arrived into our ER at 7:45am and was unresponsive, not breathing and in cardiac arrest on arrival. He received immediate CPR and advanced cardiac life support in our emergency department. The emergency medicine team and specialists, including cardiologists and critical care doctors, have attended to him," the statement issued by the hospital facility reads.
