YCP Has To Keep A Tab On MLAs Now?

The recent MLC elections in Andhra Pradesh changed the equations in the political spectrum. The ruling party YSRCP got a reality check into its strength and internal issues. Four MLAs came out as rebels and were suspended from the party eventually. At the time when YCP was aiming at winning all the Assembly seats, the rebel MLAs issue popped up.

Since then the reports started doing rounds that the rebel leaders count would be even higher and they are just waiting for the right opportunity to come. If the same arrives then nothing can stop them from shifting their loyalties to other parties from the YSRCP.

Adding fuel to this, Actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna made similar comments. He came down severely on the ruling party and alleged that more than 60 MLAs are in touch with him and if the Telugu Desam Party says yes then they would leave YCP.

The MLAs' row turned out to be a big headache for the YSRCP as Balakrishna said that many MLAs are in touch with him. Earlier, Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu also made similar comments and said that MLAs are in touch with him and the ruling party has to be careful about this.

Political experts say that the YSRCP has to be careful about MLAs shifting loyalties. Not just Babu and Balakrishna, the YSRCP leaders also said the time. Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy addressed the media after the suspension.

The two leaders said that many leaders are not happy with the party and want to leave the party. Their comments hold some relevance as they were with the YSRCP and have a good rapport with their fellow leaders. Kotamreddy earlier said that his phone is being tapped as he is speaking to others.

In the previous elections, many leaders won with the Jagan wave and they have no personal image. The majority of MLAs have no popularity or personal image. A recent survey said that many leaders would lose the polls. They are worried about their future and looking at other options. All these factors say that the issue cannot be taken for granted.
