The much-awaited elections in Andhra Pradesh are underway. The polling process started earlier today. However, the initial polling percentage was not that encouraging. But things started changing with time passing. Gradually the vote percentage started seeing an uptick across the regions.

As per the information, as much as 23.3 percent of votes were polled by 11 AM. It is a good sign that voters are turning up at the booths and exercising their rights. The percentage increased by more than two times.

The political observers say that the vote percentage did not see any big difference compared to the previous elections. They say that there was only a 0.1 percent difference. While 2019 recorded 23.2 percent, the same went up to 23.3 percent in 2024.

As of 11 Lok Sabha segments recorded 23.10 percent votes and Assembly segments saw 23 percent votes. In the Assembly segments, three segments saw big votes as of 11.

While Pulivendula represented by YS Jagan saw 31.06 percent of votes as of 11, Chandrababu’s Kuppam is in second place with 26.47 percent and Pithapuram with 22.56 percent. Interestingly, the three segments are seen as hot seats in the state.

On the other hand, AP started with a lower percentage as of 9 AM. As per the information, there was over 9 percent of votes both in Lok Sabha and Assembly segments.
