Will Kangana Ranaut contest elections on BJP ticket?

Will tempestuous film star Kangana Ranaut enter politics and contest on the BJP ticket in the 2024 elections? This question has assumed significance as Kangana Ranaut has recently made it clear that she is very much interested in politics. Speaking at a film promotion, she said that she is very patriotic by nature and temperament.

Kangana, whose no-holds-barred comments on anti-Modi and anti-Hindu critic and whose spats with persons ranging from Mahesh Bhat, Hritik Roshan and Uddhav Thackeray-led government in Maharashtra are legion, has always shown her support to Hindu and nationalistic causes. She has never tried to hide her love for the BJP.

If sources are to be believed, Kangana is likely to contest from the Mandi Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh. Kangana belongs to Himachal Pradesh and has recently constructed a temple of her Kula Devata (family deity) in her native village. She has also built a house for herself in the Mandi region of the state.

The BJP is reportedly in touch with Kangana and the latter is said to have given her consent to enter into the electoral fray. Her entry, if and when it happens, will add colour and style to the election campaign. In the 2019 elections, the BJP had swept Himachal by winning all the four Lok Sabha seats.
