UP CM Calls Disha Patani Family, Vows Justice
The incident also opens up larger debates about celebrity vulnerability and rising intimidation tactics in public life.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 16 Sept 2025 3:08 PM ISTWhen a star shines in the sky, people look up with admiration. But when darkness tries to cloud that light, the whole world feels disturbed. Something similar happened with actress Disha Patani’s family, when a sudden firing incident outside their Bareilly house shook not only their street but also the state.
And not just the Police, but amazingly, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath personally paced in, proving that this was not a case to be swept aside. He called Disha’s father, Jagadish Patani, and assured him that justice would not only be promised but also delivered. Jagadish shared with the media that the CM gave strong words of courage, saying no negligence would be tolerated. “Wherever they are hiding, they will be caught,” Yogi reportedly said, pledging complete security for the family. This assurance brought some relief to a family suddenly thrown into an atmosphere of fear.
The firing outside Disha’s house on September 12 is said to have been triggered by remarks made by her sister, Khushboo Patani. A former army officer and now a fitness trainer, Khushboo’s comments allegedly hurt the sentiments of a group. Soon after, the infamous Goldy Brar gang claimed responsibility for the attack, sending shockwaves through Bareilly and beyond. For the common public, it was a moment of disbelief: how could a film star’s home, guarded by recognition and respect, become the target of such violence?
The incident also opens up larger debates about celebrity vulnerability and rising intimidation tactics in public life. Just like any ordinary citizen, even a well-known name like Disha Patani is now at the mercy of threats that spread fear. Yet, the CM’s quick response has set a tone of accountability. For Disha’s fans, it is a reassurance that their star’s family is not alone. For Uttar Pradesh, it is a reminder that law and order must shield every light from being dimmed by fear. As the investigation continues, all eyes remain on whether justice will come as swiftly as the promise.
