Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan's 2002 hit and run case came up for hearing on Friday.
During the recording of his statement, The actor claimed he was neither drunk nor driving the ill-fated car at the time of the accident. He went on to say the case filed against him is false and he is an innocent. "My driver Ashok was driving at the time of accident. After accident, The left side was jammed by the people and hence I had to come out from the right side (driver's seat)," he said, apart from claiming he didn't run away after the accident but made his driver Ashok call the Police Control Room and waited for 15 minutes on the spot.
When asked about the drunken drive, Salman stated he was unaware that a permit was required to booze and he clarified he wasn't drunk on that particular day.
