IIFA Utsavam slated to be held on December 4th, 5th & 6th in Hyderabad got postponed to January next year in solidarity with the people of Chennai. The Management took this decision after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrababu Naidu to delay the event as this isn't the right time to organize an awards ceremony.
Allu Sirish who will be the host of the first edition confirms, 'The IIFA Utsavam is postponed in soliditary with the ppl of Chennai. Its the right thing to do. #PrayForChennai'.
Lakshmi Manchu took to Twitter to thank IIFA Management: "Hats off to @IIFAUtsavam for postoning the awards to Janurary 2016 in solidarity with the people of chennai. A fantastic gesture. #Chennai".
IIFA Organisers even have plans to raise funds for Chennai Flood Relief Fund in January 2016. They appealed entire Southern Film Industry to come in support of the people of Chennai.
