After scoring hat trick hits, NTR listened to many subject but finally approved the script of Bobby although 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' was a disaster. News of Tarak's triple role created tremendous buzz around the movie. Promos & Confidence shown by the team during promotions has given an indication that 'Jai Lava Kusa' has shaped up well. Let's see if the film has lived up to the high expectations...

Synopsis:

Jai Lava Kusa are blood brothers. Both Lava Kusa make fun of Jai's stammering in the childhood & this hurts him very badly. The friction between the triplets lead to their separation. While Lava becomes a Bank Manager, Kusa ends up as small-time crook. Lava's Lover goes missing & Kusa losses his money all of a sudden. Finally, The Two Brothers realize Jai is behind the setbacks in their personal lives. What they have done to handle the mess forms the rest of the tale!

Performances:

'Jai Lava Kusa' is NTR's one-man-show. He entertains thoroughly by maintaining good variations in all the three roles throughout the movie. Special mention for the role of Jai in which Tarak looks menacing. He is simply superb once again in the dances as well.

Sai Kumar used all of his experience to offer a splendid performance. Raashi Khanna scores brownie points with her glamour. Nivetha Thomas disappoints. Posani tickles the funny bone with his trademark dialogue delivery. Praveen is just okay. Ronit Roy does nothing special.

Pros:

NTR as Jai

Interval

Pre-Climax

Cons:

Songs

Screenplay

Nivetha Thomas

Technicalities:

Devi Sri Prasad disappoints with the composition of Songs. Only Raavana & Thelipoya are good enough. He, however, offered extra-ordinary background score for Jai character. Camera Work by Chota K Naidu is awesome. Screenplay provided by Kona Venkat & Chakravathy is alright. Director Bobby banked heavily on NTR's acting calibre for 'Jai Lava Kusa'. The result could have been even better had if he worked more on story & screenplay. Though he fails to offer a gripping narration, Bobby succeeded in providing the entertainment with necessary commercial elements.

Analysis:

First things first, 'Jai Lava Kusa' doesn't have a great story & it reminds us of films in the 80s. Not even the screenplay was gripping enough but still Bobby manages to deliver a watchable film solely because of NTR. Choosing a power-house performer like Tarak is one of the best decisions of his career.

NTR's Performance is on par with the high-expectations. Audience could only remember Jr after stepping out of the theatres, such is the impact he created with the triple role. The loopholes in the story & screenplay have been overshadowed by Young Tiger at least to some extent.

'Jai Lava Kusa' is a special film in NTR's career if it's performance-wise. He breathes life into the role of Jai who is an evil-minded criminal. Audience get involved in the story only after the entry of Jai character. The characters of Lava and Kusa were used mostly for entertainment purpose in the First Half. The love track of Lava is being executed well. Audience who waited eagerly for the introduction of Jai character were thrilled with the way Bobby presented it. The Interval Bang stood as the high-point in the movie.

Viewers get excited every time Jai appears on the screen. Slow Narration, Few illogical & Predictable Scenes hamper the flow in the second hald. It's only in the last half-an-hour, The film gets back on the right track with the emotional scenes between the Brothers. Twist in the pre-climax is well executed. Bobby leaves a mark of his own here. Climax is just fine. Overall, 'Jai Lava Kusa' is a kind of film fans will love to the fullest & even others could give it a watch.

Bottom Line: It NTR's Viswaroopam!
