Hollywood Star apologises for joke on Trump

Hollywood Actor Johnny Depp of 'Pirates of the Carribbean' fame joked about assassinating none other than US President Donald Trump. While making an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival, He commented, 'When was the last time an actor assassinated a President? I want to qualify, I am not an actor. I lie for a living'.

Actually, Johnny Depp made these comments in reference to the John Wilkes Booth assassinating Abraham Lincoln in 1865. Immediately, A statement was issued by White House strongly condemning the joke while clarifying Trump has condemned violence in all forms. Other Actors and Technicians in Hollywood were asked by Trump Administration to react in a same manner.

Finally, Johnny Depp admitted that the joke he attempted was in poor taste. Saying that it didn't come out as intended, He clarified his intention was only to amuse not to harm anyone.
