Has Team PK thrown its hands up on repairing the YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh? If sources are to be believed, Team PK has told the ruling party in AP that it has no proper booth management system worth the salt in place. As a result, despite popular support and despite the charisma of YS Jagan, the party may be in for a surprise in 2024 elections.
Team PK, which is now studying the party's system and organisational preparedness for 2024 elections, has reportedly said that the party needs to get its booth management right to come back to power. The party had lost 2014 elections due to the lack of a proper booth management system in place. It could win power in 2019 as it has managed to rectify the shortcomings.
Sources in the YSRCP revealed that the Team PK has told that the party leadership has not paid any attention to the MPPs, MPTCs and sarpanches. Similarly, the teams at the polling booths too have been completely neglected, says Team PK. Prashant Kishore reportedly told Jagan that the booth level committees should be formed immediately to ensure victory for the party in the upcoming elections.
Sources say that YS Jagan has entered into an agreement with Prashant Kishore for an unspecified amount. Team PK has already covered the whole state and conducted surveys to understand the ground level situation in the state. The crux of the survey is that there is disenchantment at the ground level. The grassroot level workers are unhappy and the ruling party should take immediate corrective steps if it wants to win the upcoming elections.
