Samantha has begun working for the welfare of Handloom Weavers after being appointed as the brand ambassador by Telangana Government. She visited Dubbaka in Siddipet district recently to interact with the Weavers.
The 'Yem Maya Chesave' Star decided to take necessary measures to ensure Handloom Clothes are available to people across the country apart from creating awareness. If she could do so, Income generation of the weavers would increase multifold.
As a first major step, Samantha wishes to auction the handloom costumes of Pawan Kalyan in 'Katamarayudu'. The proceeds of this auction would go to the weavers.
Notably, Samantha auctioned 'Gabbar Singh' uniform few years ago and donated the proceeds to charity work.
