Young Akkineni hero Naga Chaitanya is currently working on 'Custody' which is being directed by Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu. The first look poster and glimpse created a very good buzz around the movie. But the 'Premam' hero was supposed to work with Parasuram and the project was tentatively titled 'Nageswar Rao'.
This project has been shelved and sources say that there is a reason why this movie did not go on floors. Apparently, Naga Chaitanya signed a film under the 14 Reels Plus banner long back. Parasuram was brought on board as the director and the official announced regarding this project was also made. But Parasuram got a chance to work with superstar Mahesh and the director convinced the makers to keep Chaitanya's project on hold. While Parasuram made 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' with Mahesh, Chaitanya focused on other projects.
Though 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' ended up being a hit due to Mahesh's craze, Prasuram was criticised for the weak story and predictable screenplay. Many said that the director failed to make the best use of such a huge opportunity. Sources claim that Parasuram narrated a script to Chaitanya and the final draft didn't impress the hero. As the director did not come with anything refreshing and offered routine commercial plots, this project has been canceled as per reports. We need to see if they join hands in the future or not.
