The third part of Avatar franchise debuted in Indian theatres earlier this month and it is still going on a strong run domestically. The film’s box office performance in India clearly reflects its strong nationwide appeal across multiple languages and regions.

In the language wise gross breakup, the English version emerged as the top contributor with an impressive ₹76.02 crore, proving the director’s massive pull among urban and premium audiences. The Hindi version followed closely with ₹57.48 crore, showcasing solid acceptance in the North Indian belt.

Tamil audiences contributed ₹25.53 crore, while the Telugu version added a respectable ₹15.09 crore. Even in comparatively smaller markets, the film managed to register noticeable numbers, with the Kannada version earning ₹52.65 lakhs and the Malayalam version collecting ₹18.35 lakhs.

From a state wise perspective, the North circuit dominated the collections with a strong gross of ₹90.92 crore, reaffirming the film’s popularity in multiplex driven regions. Tamil Nadu stood next with ₹32.55 crore, indicating steady footfalls despite mixed reviews.

The Telugu states together contributed ₹23.29 crore, while Karnataka posted ₹19.82 crore. Kerala added ₹8.25 crore to the overall tally.

Despite receiving mixed responses from audiences and critics, the film has managed to secure a decent gross in the Indian market and continues to hold firm for a longer run. This performance once again underlines why James Cameron remains a true global brand whose films consistently draw audiences across borders and languages.
