Star actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu faced a huge setback both on the personal front as well as on the professional front last year. After getting treated abroad, she is back to work again and started her own podcast where she reveals her life experiences and battles with health. At the same time, she is gearing up for the release of her web series 'Citadel India'.

Talking about her decision to do a bold song like 'Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava', she said, “I think the decision to do 'Oo Antava' was similar to taking on Raji (her character in 'The Family Man 2'). I think the positive aspect of not having too many people around you, no one putting their opinions in your ear that you need to cater to. This is the positive side. The flip side is that I need to make mistakes, learn from them, and trust my gut instincts.”

She added, “The decision to do 'Oo Antava' came from a place where I had to explore that aspect of being an actor. I have always been very uncomfortable with my sexuality. I am not very comfortable or confident. I have always operated from a place like 'I am not good enough, I don't feel pretty, I don't look like the other girls.' Sexy is not my thing.”

Also, she spoke about haters calling her 'Sympathy Sir'. Sam said, “I was called sympathy queen by the public. My journey as an actor and as a human being has evolved significantly. Early in my career, I was anxious and would search for negative articles about me. The more people accused me, the more I questioned myself. They have forced me to become the person I can be proud of.”

Currently, Sam is listening to various scripts and she is expected to make an official announcement regarding her next projects soon.
