Every film set has its own little universe, egos, laughter, chaos, and that spark that makes great cinema happen.

Baahubali was no different. Cinematographer KK Senthil recently let slip something fans didn’t expect, Rana Daggubati, the man behind the mighty Bhallaladeva, was apparently very possessive on set. Not in a bad way, though. Senthil said with a laugh that Rana always carried himself like the king, convinced that every scene he was in, he’d steal the show. Even in that legendary head-cut sequence where everyone praised Prabhas and Anushka Shetty, Rana believed deep down, “Nah, that was my moment too.”,

And honestly, that sounds so Rana. Confident, a little stubborn, but in a charming way. It takes that kind of attitude to pull off a character like Bhallaladeva, strong, cold, and proud. Maybe that possessiveness wasn’t just an ego trip, maybe it’s what gave his character that extra edge. You could almost feel it in his eyes when he faced Baahubali, like he wasn’t just acting, he was owning every frame.

Meanwhile, Baahubali: The Epic, the new cut combining both parts, is getting ready for a grand release again. A massive 3-hour-45-minute version, and fans down South are already losing it. Advance bookings are crazy, especially in Nizam and Andhra.
