A large portion of the Telugu community has started to move to the United States for better employment opportunities. But in this context, something tragic is being established as a Telugu man has sadly died of severe depression in the U.S. due to the H1B visa complication.

According to a report published, a 30 year old Telugu man named Sasikanth Reddy Donthireddy passed away in the United States after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest.

Friends and close associates say he had been under severe emotional and mental stress for several years due to uncertainty surrounding his H 1B visa status.

Sasikanth moved to the US in 2018 to pursue higher education and completed a double masters degree. Like many international students, he hoped to secure stable employment through the H 1B visa lottery.

However, despite multiple attempts, he was not selected. This ongoing uncertainty reportedly caused deep anxiety about his future, career stability, and ability to visit his family in India.

Reports state that he had not returned home in nearly eight years. On February 16, he complained of chest pain and was rushed to a hospital, but doctors could not save him.

His sudden death has sparked conversations within the Indian community about the immense pressure faced by young professionals navigating the US immigration system. A fundraiser has been started to help send his mortal remains back to India and support his grieving family.
