Power Star Pawan Kalyan is getting ready to entertain audiences with his upcoming film Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The movie has already created huge excitement among fans even before its release. The film is directed by Harish Shankar and is expected to be a mass action entertainer. The movie is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19 during the Ugadi festival.
Now another update about the movie is going viral on social media. Reports say that the producers have requested the Andhra Pradesh government for special ticket prices for the film. The movie is produced by the well known production house Mythri Movie Makers.
According to the latest information, the makers have asked permission to set the benefit show ticket price at around ₹500 on the release day. Benefit shows are common for films starring big heroes. These shows usually take place early in the morning and attract a large number of fans. Since Pawan Kalyan has a massive fan base, theatres are expecting huge crowds for these shows.
Apart from benefit shows, the producers have also reportedly requested an increase in regular ticket prices. In single-screen theatres across Andhra Pradesh, the makers have asked for an additional ₹100 on the regular ticket price. In multiplex theatres, they have reportedly requested an extra ₹125 per ticket.
There are also discussions about introducing similar ticket hikes in Telangana. However, film industry sources say that there are some legal and policy matters that still need clarity in that state.
Interestingly, the release date of the film was originally planned for March 26. Later, the team decided to advance the release to March 19. This change has increased excitement among fans, as the movie will now arrive during the Ugadi holiday season.
Another interesting point is that the Bollywood film Dhurandhar 2 is also scheduled to release on the same day. When asked about the clash, director Harish Shankar said that both films belong to different genres and there is enough space for multiple movies to succeed during festival seasons.
