For making the report, the ADR gathered the data for the financial year 2018-19. Talking about the YSRCP and TDP both the parties bagged the second and fourth positions respectively.
YSRCP received income of 181 crores which makes it the second top party to receive the donations. Interestingly the party received around 100 crores of its income from the unknown sources.
The report stated that the Ruling YSRCP received around Rs 99.8 crores in the electoral bonds, while around Rs 10 crores were received in the form of voluntary contributions.
Talking about the opposition TDP, out of the 117 crores, Rs 37 crores were received through unknown services. The information provided by the parties to the Election Commission of India is the base of the report of ADR.
On the other hand, Biju Janata Dal tops the list with Rs 213.54 crore income through unknown sources highest for any regional parties, while the Shiv Sena stood at third place with Rs 60. 73 crores.
