The TRS government, which is soft-peddling the issue of security breach during Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's address during the Ganesh immersion festival, has taken a very stern view of the security breach during KCR's recent visit to Nizamabad. A circle inspector and an SI have been sent on vacancy reserve due to their negligence in preventing security breach.
In case of Himanta Biswa Sarma, TRS party's contested candidate from Goshamahal, Nandkumar Vyas, climbed up the podium at the Moazzamjahi market and tried to snatch away the mike from the Assam CM. A case was booked on him only on Saturday. No action has so far been taken on the police who have allowed Vyas to gain access to the dais.
On the other hand, Nizamabad town CI Krishna and Three Town SI Sainath were initially suspended and then put on VR for their failure to prevent Congress corporator Gadugu Rohit and his supporters from stopping CM's convoy and showing black flags to KCR. Though the police made preventive arrests of student leaders, politicians and functionaries of various associations to thwart protests, Rohit managed to give a slip.
The government has taken a serious view of the security breach of the chief minister, when the latter went to inaugurate the new collectorate complex in Nizamabad city. At the same time, no police official has so far been booked in Assam CM's case. Meanwhile, Assam DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta called up Telangana police officials and made inquiries about the security breach at Moazzam Jahi Market.
