Going by the suggestions, supreme biomedical research body Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) directed the states to carry out more and more tests so that the virus can be detected quickly.

India reported the first pandemic case on the 30th of January and now the cases in the country are heading towards the seven lakh-mark. India is in third place in terms of worst-hit states in the country.

To detect the virus, so far the ICMR has tested as many as one crore people in India and said there is a lot that has to be done in this regard when it comes to testing the samples.
