The novel Coronavirus, which has left many politicians and public representatives infected with the virus resulted in one more lawmaker of the ruling YSRCP catching the disease.
Ruling party MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy, who represents the Sarvepalli constituency has tested positive for the contagious disease. He was admitted to the Chennai Apollo hospital.
The MLA announced the news on his Twitter handle and said his health condition is stable. He will be available on phone. In his Tweet, he shared the press release of the same news.
With a spike of 6,555 fresh infections, the Covid-19 caseload in Andhra Pradesh mounted to 706790. With 33 fresh casualties, total fatalities in the state rose to 5900.
While a total of 6,43,993 patients have been recovered from the virus, the active cases stood at 56,897.
