Tense situations have been going on between China and India for a very long time. Of late the situation turned even tenser after the intense Galwan clashes where Indian and Chinese troops had a violent face-off. India lost a few brave hearts and China too suffered a few losses.

With this, the Indian government started dealing with the Chinese apps with an iron fist. Many apps were banned in India saying that the apps are gathering information about users which is not acceptable. Though the Chinese apps said that this is objectionable behavior, the Indian government did not take a back step.

The North American nation Canada joined the row and banned Tik Tok. The government said that the app is not good for the privacy and security of the nation and hence the decision was taken. Saying that the safety of countrymen is more important, the government announced the decision.

The Canadian government said that Tik Tok cannot be used for government devices given the threat it poses to the nation and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that government employees would no longer be able to use Tik Tok in their workforces. However, common people can take a call on this later.

"I suspect that as government takes the significant step of telling all federal employees that they can no longer use TikTok on their work phones, many Canadians from business to private individuals will reflect on the security of their own data and perhaps make choices," the Prime Minister said.

TikTok app enjoys a massive following among youngsters across the globe. The app gave a big platform for young people to become content creators. However, there are many allegations that these apps are gathering the personal information of the users and transferring the same to China.

As a result, many nations are busy making steps to ban the app. After India banned the app, the likes of America and a few European nations either banned the app or took the initiative to restrict the usage of the app in their respective regions. Now Canada also joined the row and banned the usage of the app for government employees.
