TRS circles are watching with alarm and concern at some of the former IPS officers. These officers are now working overtime to build a mood against the ruling TRS in Telangana. While some are openly political, the others are working on the sly. CM KCR reportedly believes that some serving IAS officers, who are sulking at not being given plum posts, are leaking information to these ex-officials.
IAS officer Akunuri Murali, who is known for his work in the field of education, is trying to mobilise the Dalits in Telangana. He is working among Left-leaning intellectuals and officers of the state. He is said to be securing information from the present officers. Murali has been very critical of the TRS government and its anti-Dalit attitude.
Similarly, Chiranjeevulu, another IAS officer who retired last year, too is said to be mobilising the BCs. He is said to be touring among the BC dominated areas to create a mood against the TRS government. There are fears that the BC IAS officers are providing him with sensitive information that could be used against the ruling party.
Similarly, ex-bureaucrats like Chandravadan are openly criticising the TRS governance and its priorities. Senior IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar now heads the BSP in Telangana. He too has several sympathisers in the bureaucracy, who are feeding him with information. Sources say that KCR has kept a tab on the officials who are helping these rebel civil servants, who have an axe to grind against the TRS government. He is said to have prepared a list of officials who are helping RS Praveen Kumar and Akunuri Murali.
