Battlegrounds Mobile India gets stunning response, surpasses two crore pre-registrations

The famous online multiplayer battle royale game PUBG, which enjoys a cult following among Indians has entered the Indian arena with a new name, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BMI). The Pre-registrations for the game were started earlier last month.

Within two weeks of the pre-registrations, the BMI has reached the massive milestone of 20 million. The South Korean game developer Krafton Inc announced the same in an official statement.

In the statement, the game developer said, the Pre-registrations for the game was started for Indian fans on May 18. On the first day, the game clocked 7.6 million pre-registrations. In two weeks, the 20 million-mark in pre-registrations were crossed.

The Krafton company thanked Indian fans for showing love and response towards the game. The launch date of the game will be announced soon, the company said.

CH Kim, CEO of Krafton said that the company is making efforts to bring amazing content for the Indian fans and to provide an incomparable battle royale experience for the players.

Along with a few other Chinese Apps, PUBG Mobile was also banned in India in September last year, following a violent standoff between the Chinese troops and Indian troops.
