In the wake of India battling the dreaded disease, a sad incident took place in Andhra Pradesh where a warden of a Swadhar Home had sexually harassed the inmates reportedly.
Going into detail, the warden of the Bommuru Swadhar Home (Government Shelter Home for destitute women) located in Rajamahendravaram allegedly harassed the inmates and the warden was taken into custody.
He was booked under Disha Act and the Manager of the Swadhar Home has suspended accordingly. The state government directed the authorities to look into the sad incident and an inquiry is under progress.
It has been reported that out of the eight inmates, four were sexually harassed by the warden and upon reaching there the cops sent the victims for further medical examinations.
Kovvuru YSRCP MLA Taneti Vanita visited the home and interacted with the victims and assured them that the government will not spare the guilty in this case.
