Which party will win the general elections in Telangana is the question many have. Surprisingly all the major parties are looking strong and are confident of winning the elections. They are banking on their image and are making strategies that would take them towards a big win in the general elections.
Talking about the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS), it is in a better position compared to others. Earlier, the Chief Minister hinted that the sitting MLAs would be given tickets for the next elections. Political experts say that sitting legislators always have an advantage and the party wants to explore it.
However, it is said that the BRS leadership is reportedly in plans to implement a one family one ticket policy for the election. A few MLAs and Ministers are said to be interested in bringing their heirs into the political spectrum and are doing their lobbying for the tickets.
Even if a few legislators can get tickets for their heirs, be it daughters or sons or sons-in-law, there are high chances for others as well to put pressure on the leadership for the party tickets. If this happens a few leaders might have to be sidelined and they might turn into rebels and join the opposition parties.
So keeping all this in mind, the BRS leadership wants to give only one ticket for the family. Earlier, the grand old Congress party started the idea as the seniors in the party felt that they are sidelined and newcomers are being preferred over them. The move managed to pacify the seniors in the party.
Now the ruling BRS also wants to implement the same for better outcomes. We will get clarity on this once the election schedule is issued and the party officially announces the candidates.
On the other hand, unhappy leaders in the party might become a thorn in the flesh for the party if Kavitha gets a party ticket for the polls. KCR is Chief Minister and his son KTR is serving as Cabinet Minister and holds a few portfolios. So their slots have no threat . But we have to wait and see how BRS deals with Kavitha.
