CBI moved a petition in the Gagan Vihar Court seeking cancellation of YS Jaganmohan Reddy's bail in the disproportionate assets case.
The Investigation Agency informed Court that Jagan has been influencing the Witnesses in the illegal assets case. 'Retired IAS Officer Ramakanth Reddy who served as Chief Secretary during YSR's regime is a witness of quid-pro-quo deals. Based on his statement, Cases were booked against Jagan, Industrialists and Ministers. In the recent past, Ramakanth Reddy began speaking in favor of Jagan and this would only weaken the case. Jagan might influence other witnesses in a similar manner. Cancellation of his bail would speeden up the trail,' CBI informed the Court.
Court accepted the petition filed by CBI and directed Jagan to file a counter. The next hearing of the petition will be on 7th next month.
YSR Congress Leaders suspect a conspiracy behind the petition moved by CBI as General Elections will be happening within 2 years.
