The ruling YSRCP is not ready to leave the alleged land scam in the Amaravati region, which was proposed as the capital by the previous Telugu Desam Party. The government is saying that a few people from the TDP brought lands there and that is why the capital was proposed there.
As it wants to go for the three capitals, YCP wants to prove the alleged scam. The Crime Investigation Department is probing the matter and the agency intensified its efforts to gather evidence. The investigating officers are conducting searches at the residences of former Cabinet Minister P. Narayana and his relatives for the past few days.
As per the reports, the investigating officers are believed to seized key evidence including an audio call. The audio call is allegedly between former Minister Narayana and his daughter in which they spoke about money routing. Narayana allegedly informed his daughter about the route and said where the lands should be purchased.
As the key evidence is said to have been gathered by the CID, it is said that the evidence can trap former municipal administration minister P. Narayana in the alleged scam. Now all eyes are on the CID to know what happens in the much-talked-about case. CID is after the ex-Minister for a very long time.
The YCP is alleging that the capital city was proposed there after a few people gathered land so that they will get benefited. After ruling party MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy filed a complaint, a case has been registered and the probe is underway. Now CID officers are believed to have gathered key evidence that can trap him in the case.
The YCP which was in the opposition between 2014 to 19 changed its stand on the capital and said that the state should have three capitals. The Party is alleging that the capital was proposed there to benefit a particular community.
The ruling YSRCP is now focused on two things. One is to bring a new bill to clear the way to have three capitals. The second focus is to probe TDP's hand in the alleged land scam in Amaravati. But many people have doubts about the three capitals as the state's economy is not in a good shape.
