With the GHMC elections fast approaching, the ruling TRS has already gone into a high octane mode. The party has already begun small meetings, caste conferences and pressure group meets in a big way. The party has also given key responsibilities to the four ministers from the GHMC area.
The four ministers â Sabitha Indra Reddy, Mahmood Ali, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Malla Reddy â have been given five assembly constituencies each. They have been entrusted with the responsibllity of ironing out the differences in the party leaders and bring different sections of the society towards the party. The four ministers were told very clearly that their political future too would depend on the success or otherwise of the TRS in the GHMC elections.
The GHMC has 150 divisions. The TRS had won 99 divisions last time. Internal party surveys have said that the situation is still favourable for the TRS and that the party could repeat the success story this time too. But, reports that some corporators are unpopular due to their acts of omission and commission and that the BJP has increased its support base, have alarmed the party. Hence, KCR has asked the four ministers to ensure party's victory in the GHMC elections.
