The CBI Special Court permitted YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's petition to visit Idupulapaya. Court Okayed Jagan request to visit Kadapa district to pay homage at the 'samadhi' of his father, the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Recently Jagan requested a special court to relax the bail condition of not leaving Hyderabad to enable him to visit Idupulapaya and Guntur.
In a petition filed on September 26, Jagan sought court's permission to visit Idupulapaya, the resting place of his late father and former Chief Minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy, on October 1 and 2nd and also to participate in farmers' agitation on Samaikhyandhra on October 4 in Guntur.
However, the CBI, which filed its counter on Monday, opposed Jagan's petition and feared that he might influence the witnesses and tamper with the evidence if allowed to go outside Hyderabad.Arguing on behalf of Jagan, lawyer Sushil Kumar said that Jagan's case is only technical and there is no scope for tampering the evidence as all of them are documented.
After hearing the arguments and counter arguments, the court was not accepted with the arguments made by CBI and permitted Jagan to go to Idupulapaya . The court granted permission for visiting Idupulapaya but refused permission to visit Guntur.
