Keeping an end to long waiting, the Union government has paved a way for the availability of the vaccines against the novel Coronavirus at private hospitals across the nation.
It is said that the Narendra Modi government gave its nod for the private and corporate hospitals to start the vaccinations. When the pandemic has hit, private hospitals have also played a crucial role in treating the patients.
According to the media reports, the vaccine dose in private hospitals is likely to be costing 400 per dose. With this, the dose of two vaccinations will cost 800 at the private hospitals.
The availability of the vaccine doses at private and corporate hospitals will be made in the second phase of the vaccination drive, which is expected to start in March this year, reports claimed.
As announced earlier by the Union Government, the beneficiaries, above the age group of 60 and 45 will be vaccinated across the nation.
By making the private hospitals a partner in vaccination drive, the Center is aiming to increase the vaccination count, which registered a slow vaccination rate in the first phase.
However, more details on the vaccine availability and vaccine dose costs will be known once the government issues an official statement on the list of private hospitals that were picked for vaccination.
